Our Affiliations
Direct-Line is a committed member of the Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta (IBAA). The IBAA is a not-for-profit trade association representing more than 5300 insurance brokers in Alberta. Since 1921, the IBBA has represented insurance brokers and consumers to ensure professional standards are met and a fair representation of choice exists for consumers. The IBBA is recognized by government, insurance companies, and consumers, and is a member of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada.
Direct-Line has had contributed two Presidents to this Association. Larry Heron, the founder of Direct-Line, was President during the 1981-82 term, and most recently, Gord Enders, current President of Direct-Line, was President for the 2013-14 terms.
During his time as President of the IBAA, Gord oversaw the IBAA efforts during the 2013 Floods and became a committed advocate for the introduction of flood insurance, which is now a product being offered by most insurance companies across Canada.
